Lord help me to believe in Thee
my will is weak and small
mine unbelief needs encouragement
I want to give my all

sometimes circumstances beguile
when things don’t go my way
I need to learn to trust You more
for answers come what may

the human mind will use logic
to figure out a plan
but always there are apparent flaws
in all the ways of man

God said His ways are not man’s ways
His thoughts are higher too
because He’s God He knows what’s best
He’ll show me what to do
____
faith is the key in bringing hope
action that will appease
because in exercising faith
God said He is quite pleased
____
I must then believe in His word
and stretch my faith this way
if ever I am to have much gain
then in God’s word I’ll stay
